FAQ

Q: Where can I find all of your socials?

Q: Why don't you ship to the EU?

A: The EU passed the GPSR a few years ago and it is prohibitive for small sellers. I cannot ship to the EU right now. Please don't ask me to make an exception; please don't give me advice on how I can set up some responsible party in the EU to handle things for me. Please check out my GitHub to order boards from fabricators yourself, or sell my open source stuff in the EU yourself. In the future I may sell to the EU again, but right now I am not.

Q: Why don't you ship to [other country]?

A: Shipping there has probably been extremely unreliable in the past, and I have likely lost money from lost packages.

Q: Why haven't you shipped my order yet?

A: I normally aim to ship out products at least once per week, usually on Mondays. If you absolutely need it sooner to meet some deadline, you can request I rush it along. But otherwise please be patient - this is not my main job, and I am only one man, toiling away at his desktop for at most a few hours after the rest of the family has gone to bed.

Q: I have a problem with my order!

A: That's not technically a question, but shoot me an email and I'll make it right.

Q: Weren't your boards cheaper in the past?

A: Yes. The import taxes (aka tariffs) levied on Americans by the US government have been very detrimental to my business. In order to be able to continue doing this, I have had to raise prices a bit to make up for the extra cost. I apologize - but I hope you can trust that I'm not using this as an excuse to rip you off.

Q: Can you assemble one of your circuit boards for me?

A: No. Sometimes other people will do commissions, in which case I provide links to their work in the appropriate GitHub repository.

Q: Do you do custom design work?

A: Sometimes, but it’s a rarity. The only custom jobs I normally consider are focused versions of one of my existing boards, or some kind of aesthetic modification to my existing boards. Something like, replacing a logo, or making a LoROM-only version of my SNES boards, or something like that. Feel free to contact me if you're curious about my availability.

Q: Is this your job?

A: As previously implied, this is not my main job, and it won’t ever be my main job. I love my actual career. This is just a hobby of mine (it has actually supplanted most of my time actually playing video games). As such, my time is quite limited – at best I can get only a few hours a day to work on this – so if I do not respond to your emails or messages immediately, please give me the benefit of the doubt. I will try to get back to you when I’m able to.
